FAQs Questions
What display technology does Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max use, and how bright is the screen?
It comes with a 6.9" LTPO OLED display at 1308×2880 resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Huawei hasn't officially confirmed an exact peak brightness figure, but based on the Pura series lineage, it's expected to sit in the very bright 2500–3000+ nits range, similar to its predecessor.
Is Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max good for gaming and everyday performance?
It's powered by Huawei's in-house Kirin 9030S chipset, which handles everyday multitasking and light-to-moderate gaming smoothly, though it's genuinely a step behind Snapdragon and Dimensity flagships in raw gaming benchmarks. It's built more for camera-first, everyday users than serious gamers.
How good are the cameras on Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max?
This is where it truly shines — a 50MP variable-aperture main camera (f/1.4–f/4.0) with OIS, a massive 200MP telephoto with 4x optical zoom, and a 40MP ultrawide. Camera performance here is genuinely flagship-best, especially for zoom and low-light shots.
How long does the battery last, and how fast does it charge?
The 6000mAh battery comfortably lasts a full day-plus of heavy use. Charging is impressively fast with 100W wired SuperCharge, plus 80W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging support.
Does Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max support 5G, NFC, eSIM, Wi-Fi 7, and wireless charging?
Yes to all — 5G, NFC, eSIM, Wi-Fi 7, and fast wireless charging are all supported, making it well-equipped on the connectivity side despite Huawei's ongoing US restrictions.
Is Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max waterproof, and what protection does it have?
Yes, it's rated IP68 and IP69, meaning it handles submersion (up to 1.5–2m depending on variant) and high-pressure water jets, backed by Huawei's durable Kunlun Glass for extra scratch and drop resistance.
What RAM and storage variants are available for Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max?
It comes in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB configurations, giving a wide spread of options.
Does Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max support 4K or 8K video recording?
It supports 4K video recording — there's no 8K support on this model, which is a bit of a miss given the camera hardware otherwise punches well above its class.
